“Welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you to the glory of God.” Romans 15:7
“Do not neglect hospitality, for through it some have … entertained angels.” Hebrews 13:2
Being an Usher is a great way to welcome Christ in fellow parishioners and guests coming for mass. Responsiblities include seating the congregation, taking and securing the collection, facilitating the presentation of the gifts, handing out bulletin, knowing the flow of the Mass and identifying and solving situations as they occur. The most important responsibility, however, is to create an atmosphere of welcome and warmth, smiling at people as they arrive for mass and wishing them God's blessings as they leave.
